Forest conservation is one of the main themes of the promotion of the SDGs, and it plays an important role in the preservation of the global environment. Most Japan's land is forest, its efficient maintenance management is desired. But IoT introduction in this forest field is lagging behind other agricultural fields. Thus, it is very convenient if a vast forest can be managed using an inexpensive digital camera.
In this study, we investigated the effectiveness of the method of simple tree determination (coniferous and hardwood) required for forest conservation management by image processing. |
