Reinforcement learning based channel selection scheme for WiFi-LTE coexistence in unlicensed spectrum

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, with the rapid increase in mobile traffic, there is an increasing demand of wider bandwidth for mobile communication system LTE. To this end, LTE is allowed to offload some data traffic from licensed spectrum to unlicensed spectrum used by WiFi. The existing channel selection method based on received power sensing has drawbacks in terms of low utilization efficiency and poor performance in a dynamic use case. In order to solve these problems, we propose a channel selection method using reinforcement learning, and evaluate its performance by simulations.
