Wideband general chebyshev bandstop filters using signal interference technique

(in English) A novel signal interference bandstop filter (SIBSF) that can generate arbitrary number of transmission and reflection zeros is proposed. The equivalent circuit of the SIBSF consisting of two transversal signal paths is analyzed, and the relationship between the circuit parameters and the maximum number of transmission and reflection zeros is revealed. With an appropriately developed optimization algorithm, circuit parameters of the SIBSF are determined to satisfy the prescribed filter specifications. Two design examples of microstrip SIBSFs with a fractional bandwidth of 25 % or 75 %, respectively, and a stopband attenuation of 20 dB are designed, fabricated, and measured, and the desired wide stopband, large stopband attenuation, multiple reflection and transmission zeros, and sharp skirt characteristics are realized.
