| (in English) | Omnidirectional sound sources have been used for various purposes and have been studied for a long time. Ultrasonic sensors have been studied for transmitters and receivers in acoustic sensing and arrayed parametric loudspeakers, and non-contact manipulation. The purpose of this study is to realize an omnidirectional sound source that is smaller and lighter than before by arranging ultrasonic sensor arrays facing each other, using nonlinearity, and using differential sound explicitly.In this report, we fabricated sound source employing a facing ultrasonic sensor array, and evaluated the frequency characteristics and directivity of the sound source experimentally. This result suggests that it is possible to create omnidirectional loudspeakers with higher design like a ring and polyhedron. |
