A time-domain loudness model is necessary to calculate sound quality metrics such as roughness and fluctuation strength. Since Moore $¥&$ Glasberg's loudness model calculates loudness in the frequency domain (ISO 532-2), a method for calculating sound quality metrics using this loudness model has not been proposed yet. We constructed computational models for calculating sound quality metrics in the time domain using Gammatone filterbank (GTFB) and Gammachirp filterbank (GCFB) based on ISO 532-2. The loudness calculated by the constructed models was compared with that regulated in ISO 532-2. For the comparison the loudness depend on the sound pressure levels and that depending on the loudness level were evaluated.As a result, it was found that the loudness calculated by the constructed models is almost the same as to that regulated ISO 532-2. |
