The neural network reservoir is a learning network model using the recurrent neural network. The chaotic neural network reservoir has been proposed as an effective method for introducing various dynamics in the reservoir neural network. In this paper, we use a speech recognition task to compare the performance of the chaotic neural network reservoir to that of an ordinary reservoir neural network. From simulation results, we confirm that the chaotic neural network reservoir has better performance with fewer number of neurons than the conventional reservoir neural network. |
