A study on Element Arrangement Optimization of Spatial Polarized Massive MIMO and the Effectiveness

(in English) Currently, various studies of 5G have been studied for introduction in 2020. In 5G, massive MIMO technology has been studied to realize high speed and large capacity communications by using enormous elements on a base station. As the element arrangement of massive MIMO, a planar array structure with element spacing less than one wavelength has been proposed. In this report, we propose a method to determine the arrangement sequentially using the correlation between the channel responses of adjacent elements with the same polarization in massive MIMO using space and polarization. Furthermore, the effect of the element arrangement obtained by the method on the number of user capacity and the communication speed in downlink and uplink in a line-of-sight street canyon environment has been clarified.
