| (in English) | The optimum current on electrically small spherical antennas is obtained using the spherical wave expansion. The radiation characteristics of helical wire antennas based on the results are described. The radiation efficiency of a spherical and a spherical surface antenna are derived analytically. Using the current distribution of the self-resonant spherical surface antenna, we show that the spherical helix antenna is a high radiation efficiency antenna. The difference between the radiation efficiency of the spherical- and cylindrical- antenna is described. | |
