A Novel Code Acquisition Scheme Using Multiple Chirp Signals Robust to Initial Frequency Offset

(in English) We propose a novel code acquisition scheme for Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DS-SS) robust to initial frequency offset. Although a matched filter (MF) technique is known as one of the code acquisition scheme for DS-SS, it is difficult to acquire the correct code timing in the presence of large initial frequency offset. The proposed scheme performs the code timing acquisition and coarse frequency offset estimation based on two types of preamble signals spread by different chirp signals. By using computer simulations, we present that the proposed system can improve the frequency offset tolerance by three times.
