Focal point evaluation of focused ultrasonic probe and focus position moving by edge wave

(in English) In the focused ultrasound probe, a phenomenon occurs in which the focal point is closer to the design value. This phenomenon is considered by the overlap of the direct wave and the edge wave, and the focal point varies depending on the degree of influence. The focal point FD of only the direct wave and the focal point FE of only the edge wave were calculated, and it was found that the actual focal point was between FD and FE. When the influence of the direct wave is large, it is close to FD, and when the influence of the edge wave is large, it is close to FE. The influence of the edge wave is considered to change depending on the aperture angle, and the focus obtained from the influence of the direct wave and the edge wave is compared with the focus in the experiment. The frequency was evaluated from the propagation time difference, and the relationship between the wavelength, the response time of the signal, and the resolution was considered.
