Digitally controlled DC-DC converter using only feedforward control

(in English) In general, feedback control is required to keep the output voltage constant in switching power supply against disturbances such as load current and input voltage fluctuations. On the other hand, this paper proposes feedforward control method using the load current and the input voltage without feedback control. It is calculated that amount of influence on output voltage due to disturbances. The output voltage can be kept constant by reflecting this calculated value in the duty ratio. Since only the feedforward control is used, there is no closed-loop. Therefore, there are advantages that there is no risk of oscillation and that there is no stability deterioration due to changes in phase margin and gain margin if converter connects to capacitive and inductive loads. In this paper, it is reported that a practical static characteristic was obtained by applying a control method using only feedforward control to the prototype buck converter.
