Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, the study field of molecular electronics research have been receiving increased attention and the focus is on the nano and functional devices. Many researches about molecular buildings system of unique electronic or magnetic functional materials have been reported in the nanotechnology field as a bottom-up method alternative to the conventional method top-down. tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) and 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) are well known as molecular conductor, and it is one of bottom-up method for forming various structures by self-assembling. These complexes are known to form one dimensional column structures in which both molecules are separated independently, and this conductor shows metallic electrical conductivity of 100 S / cm at room temperature. In this study, we synthesized tetrathiafulvalene derivative to create a nano one-dimensional structures which has high conductivity. In this molecule, three units of tetrathiafulvalene were included to obtain conductivity, hydrogen bonds were included as the linker to assist the formation of one-dimensional structures. In addition, by designing π-conjugated disk-like molecules, we aimed to make the molecular stack stronger by π-π stacking. In this presentation, we will report on the structure, electrical and magnetic properties of the synthesized molecules.
