On Capacity of Massive MIMO in Multiuser Operation

(in English) In our previous report, we focused on the channel capability of Massive MIMO and investigated the relationship with the radio wave propagation environment in the case of point-to-point link, that is, single-user transmission. The target transmission method is selected eigenmode transmission, which selects several higher-gain modes from orthogonal streams in the MIMO configuration. Propagation environment was taken into consideration Rayleigh fading environment for non-line-of-sight communication and Nakagami-Rice fading environment for line-of-sight communication, and considered spatial correlation with the base station array. In this report, we expand the method in the previous paper and investigate the channel capability of Massive MIMO in point-to-multipoint, that is, multi-user transmission. Here, as the first step to investigate the basic property, the capability in the case of Rayleigh fading and no spatial correlation is clarified.
