Welding characteristics of coated twisted wire and copper plate by ultrasonic longitudinal vibration

(in English) In recent years, with the diversification of functions of automobiles, there has been a demand for a welding technique between an electrode of an electronic device to be mounted and a copper wire of a wire harness. Currently, heat is used for this connection. However, it has been problems that the coating withstand voltage of the wire decreases during heating. In this study, ultrasonic welding of coated twisted wire and copper plate was investigated using longitudinal ultrasonic vibration with a frequency of 40 kHz as a new bonding technique.
