We investigated the mutual influences among the movements of three Asian small-clawed otters (Aonyx cinerea) in the zoo. The otters’ movements in the exhibition area were recorded using a video camera on the ceiling, and the location of the otters was specified by using Mask R-CNN for each frame. Furthermore, each seven-minute trajectory of the otters was estimated using a correlated random walk (CRW) model. The mutual effects of the velocities of the otters’ movements were examined with a Granger test and orthogonalized impulse responses. The results suggest that the causal relationships of the otters’ movements are linked to the social order among them.
