Prediction of EEG Time Series with Reservoir Computing

(in English) We applied Reservoir Computing (RC) to predict and generate EEG time-series. In the prediction, 10sec EEG was used for training. For test, input was 800ms EEG that was not used for training and output was subsequent 100ms. When learned with the difference series (every 2ms), it was possible to predict subsequent 20ms with a mean absolute error of 0.68μV ~ 1.06μV (95% confidence interval). In the generation, the RC model generated 2sec EEG signals from uniform random noise. The frequency characteristics of the generated signals were similar to those measured.
