[Poster Presentation] [MIKA/RISING Collaboration] A Comparative Study on Outdoor to Indoor Penetration Propagation Loss

(in English) Recently, the next generation (5-th generation: 5G) mobile communication systems have been actively investigated all over the world. Various systems exist when considering the microwave bands after the introduction of 5 G systems. Hence, the propagation characteristics when considering the interference among the systems is very important. In this paper, assuming that wireless communication devices such as smartphones and wireless LANs are mainly used indoors, an environment where radio waves enter indoors from outside is assumed. A simple outdoor to indoor (O2I) propagation model is proposed from the measurement at 0.9/2.4/5.1 GHz band. In the proposed model, we focus on the difference of the incident angle from outdoor to indoor in the vertical plane and it is shown that the proposed model realizes the additional loss by using only angles in the vertical plane.
