In this paper, we propose a method to enable smartphone users to communicate to high speed wireless LAN APs which is equipped with vehicles continuously passing through the users. By using a high-speed wireless LAN, high throughput communication can be possible even in a short time such as passing a car. However, it is necessary to investigate whether desired communication quality can be achieved in mobile communication even with millimeter radio waves such as IEEE 802.11ad. We focus on three parameters (distance between vehicles and users, speed of vehicles, the number of passing vehicles) affecting communication quality in the proposed method. Throughput and Communication Break Time were employed as quality criteria, then were quantitatively evaluated by computer simulation to reveal the effectiveness of the proposed method. As a result, when the distance was 4 meters, the speed of vehicles was 40 km/h, and the number of passing vehicles was 10 units/10 seconds, the throughput was 6.7 times higher than that of LTE and communication break time was about 0.14 seconds. |
