[Invited Talk] Zigzag Decodable Fountain Codes

(in English) Fountain codes are erasure correcting codes which realize reliable communication in the multicasting. Zigzag decodable codes are erasure correcting codes for the distributed data storage systems and are realized by using bit-level shift operation and exclusive OR. We proposed a fountain coding system using bit-level shift operations. We refer to this code as the zigzag decodable fountain code. In this report, we explain the construction, decoding algorithm, performance, and recent results of the zigzag decodable fountain codes.
