Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Use of the 5-generation mobile communication system (5G) in the millimeter wave band is assumed. In 5G, introduction of Massive MIMO is being considered. Massive MIMO can realize beamforming according to the position of the terminal in the environment with large propagation loss such as millimeter wave. Therefore, it is important to understand the direction of arrival in the millimeter wave band. In this report, we clarify the relationship between power, delay time, and direction of arrival when focusing on the horizontal direction by using a Massive array of 192 elements in 19 GHz band in the urban area of Niigata City. Moreover, the estimation result of the direction of arrival by Beam Former method is shown, and also the propagation environment characteristic in 19GHz band is considered by adding the result shown by the ray trace. In the circular array, it is also shown that the main ray is received in a narrow angular range, and the arrival direction estimation result by BF shows that the number of clusters is at most about 2 to 3 in millimeter wave.
