Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes a MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) channel simulator for underwater acoustic communications (UWAC). The pro-posed channel simulator can simulate severe doubly-selective environment and large signal frequency band-width to center carrier frequency ratio in UWAC environment thanks to carrier frequency band sampling and ray toracing, where doubly-selective environment corresponds to time and frequency selective channel environment. First, this paper proposes a principle of the doubly-selective channel simulator for UWAC and its applications in discrete-time channel models. Next, as this paper extends SISO (single-input single-output) channels to MIMO channels, the proposedMIMO channel simulator can perform bench-mark comparison of MIMO transmission technologies. Finally, computer simulation results confirm that the proposed MIMO channel simulator using the bench-mark channel model can simulate actual experimental environment of MIMO UWAC
