Analysis of UTM traffic log using LLL algorithm

(in English) In recent years, with the spread of information communication equipment and the development of the Internet, various services can be realized and servers can be operated. On the other hand, highly open services and servers are subject to cyber attacks. Security devices (IDS/IPS, UTM) are one of the defense measures, but attacks that pass through these security devices are increasing. DoS / DDoS attacks, one of the most common cyber attacks, are disguised as legitimate communications, so they are difficult to detect with signature matching UTM. If this attack can be detected, cyber attack damage will be reduced. In this research, DoS / DDoS attack is performed by creating multi-dimensional lattice points by using the LLL algorithm that can find an approximate solution of the shortest vector in polynomial time and analyzing the traffic log of UTM and using it as a filter. It was verified whether it was possible to detect.
