Equivalent circuit parameters reducing beam squint of left-handed leaky wave antenna

(in English) A rod-like leaky wave antenna composed of CRLH transmission lines has been proposed as a base station antenna for small cells. Since this antenna uses a series feed configuration, there is a problem that the beam tilt angle changes as the frequency changes. In this study, the unit cell of a leaky wave antenna is represented by a Lossless T-type equivalent circuit, and circuit parameters that suppress the fluctuation of the beam tilt angle with respect to the frequency fluctuation are examined by a random search method. As a result, it was found that decreasing the value of the right-handed system parameter and increasing the value of the left-handed system parameter was effective in suppressing phase fluctuation. When the actual transmission line was examined, it was found that there was a limit to the minimum transmission phase difference in the frequency bandwidth.
