(in English) Reducing train noise in high-speed railways is an important issue. The antenna installed on the roof of the leading car on the Tokaido Shinkansen has been unchanged since its opening, despite being one of the sources of noise. Recently, after changing the shape of this antenna from the viewpoint of noise countermeasures (downsizing), we developed an antenna that satisfies both the requirements of overhead voltage detection performance and wireless communication performance, and grasped its performance through simulation and running tests. It was confirmed that it could be put to practical use. In this report, we report the outline of the antenna, the performance evaluation result for the rain and snow environments, and the performance evaluation result by running test.
