Fundamental Experiment of a Circular Polarization Switchable Microstrip Array Antenna With Diode Loaded Cross Slot and Magic-T Integrated Swiching Circuit

(in English) We have proposed several advanced planar antennas with simple configurations to achieve a new spatial modulation system using polarizations. So far, we have also proposed the polarization switchable antennas with diodes loaded cross slot using a Magic-T integrated switching circuit. In this paper, the characteristics of the proposed circular polarization switchable microstrip array antenna are investigated experimentally. In this experiment, the diodes were replaced by equivalent resistors and capacitors. Gain improvement of 2dB compared to a single element antenna was experimentally confirmed.
