On the topology optimisation for cloaking structures

(in English) In this paper, we propose a new topology optimisation for cloaking structures which make target objects invisible. In conventional formulations, it is often formulated to minimise scattering amplitude by the target objects in a preset observation region. The observation region should, however, be determined by some trial-and-error. In this study, we propose a new formulation which minimises the total scattering cross-section instead of the scattering amplitude to avoid the trial-and-error process. Through the numerical examples, we confirm that we can still obtain optimal designs for cloaking structures.
