We are developing a IoT device that provide sightseeing guidance based on GPS information with the goal of improving the convenience of rental cycles and creating better towns[1]. Conventional IoT devices that provide the sightseeing guidance for the rental cycle generally provide services in cooperation with smart phones. However, installing apps on smart phones is troublesome for users, and there is also an aspect that only map information provided by Google etc. is sufficient. Therefore, in order to provide rental cycle users with information that is available only in that area, we developed a small IoT device that communicates by LPWA that can be installed in the rental cycle. We also equipped with functions to notify sightseeing guidance based on GPS information, notification of dangerous locations on bicycles, emergency evacuation information and train operation status. In this paper, we report a performance evaluation experiment of the system that guides tourist spots using voice from GPS location information in cooperation with the rental cycle “Machinori” operated by Kanazawa City. |
