In 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), New Radio (NR) is specified as one of the radio interfaces for 5th generation mobile communication systems. NR supports two major use cases; enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) and ultra-reliable and low latency communication (URLLC). This paper explains the key technologies for realizing the URLLC in 3GPP release 15 and release 16. Technical challenges for future URLLC enhancement are also presented. |
