Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Self-Organizing Map (SOM) is a simple algorithm that has excellent clustering capabilities and adapts continuous changes. However, since SOM performs neighborhood learning based on the similarity to the best matching unit, there is a problem that the same class is distributed and the boundary between classes becomes unclear. In this research, the learning rate of SOM is determined by weighted attribute information of the input data class. The proposed method reduced class dispersion about 50% and improves classification accuracy more than 1 % compared to conventional method by suppressing intervention in other classes.
