A kind of true slime mold physarum polycephalum (physarum) dynamically constructs multiple paths connecting multiple baits, and the number of paths changes based on the amount of body and the surrounding environment. A mathematical model of physarum's behaviour called physarum solver (PS) has been proposed as a numerical algorithm working for flow networks. As one of applications of PS, our research group focuses on wireless multi-hop networks in which enormous methods have been proposed to solve various issues, such as energy saving, efficient use of network resource, path redundancy, etc. to realize the stable use of network. However, most existing studies specify and categorize the corresponding issues and then separately solve each of them. Our group, therefore, tries to build a comprehensive solution, through the extension of PS, on wireless multi-hop networks. In this presentation, we introduce our study, a PS-based multi-hop routing protocol. The proposed method can find the single or multiple paths considering network resources, the amount of traffic, and residual batteries at the same time. We also show the simulation results and the future work. |
