Simulated limitations on rectification efficiency in bridge rectifiers

(in English) This paper presents the limitations of rectification efficiency of bridge rectifier for the diode performance (Breakdown voltage: Vbr, RC product). A diode model with Rs on the common path of the current at ON/OFF was used for the circuit simulation. This model is applied in the case of a device structure where copper resistance and contact resistance of the electrode are a dominant loss. The paper shows the limitations of the rectifier of 5.8 GHz and 24 GHz band, and clarifies the effect on the efficiency limitations with the high frequency.
