[Poster Presentation] Performance Improvement by SAGE Algorithm for DOA Estimation Using Compressed Sensing

(in English) Recently, much attention is paid to applying signal processing techniques called compressed sensing to DOA (Direction-Of-Arrival) estimation of radio waves by array antenna. In this method, the DOA can be estimated with one snapshot of the array. However, to obtain high estimation accuracy, this algorithm needs much computation time for convergence as the number of angle divisions increases. In this paper, we introduce the SAGE (Space-Alternating Generalized Expectation maximization) algorithm to FISTA (Fast Iterative Shrinkage-Thresholding Algorithm) which is one of the compressed sensing algorithms. SAGE algorithm also derives DOA estimates by iterative calculation (SAGE cycle), and so we propose a method which changes the angle division spacing flexibly for DOA search in SAGE and FISTA, and we evaluate the estimation accuracy and the computation time of the proposed method by computer simulation.
