Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, there is an urgent need to develop high-performance radars in order to realize automatic driving and danger avoidance systems by automobiles. In particular, MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) radar, which uses multiple antennas for transmission and reception, can expand the aperture length of the array using a virtual array. Therefore, it is attracting attention because of higher accuracy and higher resolution than conventional radar. Capon algorithm and MUSIC algorithm are known as target direction estimation methods. Generally, MUSIC algorithm is suppressed to have higher estimation accuracy than Capon algorithm. However, it is sometimes observed that the estimation accuracy of Capon algorithm is higher in MIMO radar. In this paper, we clarify the characteristics of Capon algorithm in MIMO radar using matched filter for transmission signal separation of receiving array.
