(in English) While recent expanding use of millimeter-wave (MMW), such as 5th generation wireless systems (5G) and WiGig (IEEE 802.11ad), is progressing, experimental and numerical studies for establishing safety guidelines considering the action on living organisms due to millimeter-wave exposure is required. This is also very important in upcoming 5G and the next wireless systems. However, a few experimental investigations have been reported. It is very important to obtain reliable experimental data that can contribute to the study of biological effects exposed to MMW. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the thermal perception thresholds of biological effects exposed to radio waves of MMW frequency band on real human body based on experimentally obtained dose response of various physiological indices. This paper presents development of 66-76 GHz band exposure equipment to achieve experimental studies on thermal perception thresholds of biological effects exposed to MMW that is candidate frequency band in the next wireless systems.
