[Poster Presentation] Transmission characteristics for electrode arrangement on surface of torso in human body communication

(in English) In recent years, human body communication technology (HBC) that uses a human body as an electric signal transmission medium, has attracted attention as one of the promising body area network technologies. In this study, the transmission characteristics and the distribution of surface current with respect to the arrangement of transmitting and receiving electrodes on the torso and the distance between the electrodes in human body communication were investigated. As a result, it was confirmed that the transmission characteristics decreased with increasing of the transmission distance, and it was also confirmed that the transmission characteristics in case of placing the transmitting and receiving electrodes in parallel were better than in case of placing them in line. In addition, it was also confirmed that the surface current distribution was widely distributed on the surface of the living body when the transmitting and receiving electrodes were arranged in parallel rather than in a straight line.
