[Poster Presentation] Comparative Study of Kurtosis-Based FastICA and RobustICA Using Spatial Smoothing Preprocessing

(in English) With the development of wireless communication systems in recent years, high techniques and functions for radio wave monitoring are required. BSS (Blind Source Separation) technology offers many advantages in radio monitoring systems. In particular, ICA (Independent Component Analysis) is expected to be a simple and effective technique. This method is a technique of extracting the source signals by using only the information that the signals are mutually independent. In this paper, we discuss an improved method that increases the number of snapshots and improves estimation accuracy by introducing SSP (Spatial Smoothing Preprocessing) into ICA. Detailed comparisons are made between the general kurtosis-based FastICA algorithm and the RobustICA algorithm which performs exact line search optimization of the kurtosis function.
