| (in English) | To quantify skin aging caused by ultraviolet light exposure, photoacoustic images of human skin samples in various generations (i.e. various degrees of photo-aging) were obtained. These samples were measured by photoacoustic microscopy at the wavelength of visible light region. The relation between degrees of photo-aging and spatial distribution or intensity of photoacoustic signal were investigated. The result clarified that PA signal intensity increase and spatial distribution change as progress of photo-aging. This study demonstrates that photoacoustic imaging is effective in evaluating skin aging. | |
