Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It has been reported that the sum-product algorithm for error correction of LDPC sequences is equivalent to a kind of the mean-field analyses for the phase transition in Ising models. The renormalization group theory is applied to the detailed analysis of the phase transition around the singular point. With the connection between the error correction and the theory as a background, we attempt to correct errors in $2^q$-QAM symbol sequences hierarchically by a renormalization group approach. Circuit simulations presented that the circuits based on the approach corrected errors in $2^4$ and $2^{10}$-QAM symbol sequences successfully.
