Improvement of Device Identification by using Multiple Monitoring Methods

(in English) With recent development in communication technology, security in communication devices especially in IoT devices becomes a serious issue. To reduce risks of security in such devices, it is important to identify detailed information of devices by network administrator to be used for effective monitoring and control in the network. Recent studies on device identification are mostly based on port numbers, traffic patterns, and/or analysis of payloads, however, individual identification method has a limitation of accuracy. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the overall accuracy of device identification, by using a combination of results from multiple identification methods.
