Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) As the development of autonomous driving technologies, manual and autonomous driving car may coexist in the popularization stage. We have been studying an information sharing system, which hierarchizes vehicles and shares information based on the driving support level, for vehicular ad hoc network to realize effective information sharing among vehicles in such an environment. In the proposed method, each autonomous car only establishes a route with another autonomous car which is driving behind the originating car with the least geographical distance and hop counts for the reduction of excess packet transmission and route aggregation. However, the aforementioned procedure may cause an isolation from an existing network or delay increase for merging traffic since vehicles must collect and share the route information in advance of communication. In this presentation, we characterize the proposed method with merging traffic to clarify the impact of route aggregation to the sharing performance.
