GNSS-A is a technology to determine the precise deformation of the seafloor in the centimeter-order and discovered some important phenomena in seismology and earthquake disaster prevention engineering. In recent years, we have been developing analytical technology to estimate the amount of error received from ocean fields in acoustic ranging and have achieved improvement in observation accuracy. A field extracted by this analysis technique is a gradient state of a sound speed structure in the ocean. This extracted field is a combination of a global ocean field and a very narrow local field. Through comparison with the ocean model, our studies suggested that a real sound speed structure could be observed to some extent properly in this analysis. In this paper, we outline the extraction theory and explain some cases of extraction fields. |
