This presentation focuses on wireless networks using unmanned aerial
vehicles (UAVs) for emergency communication systems during large-scale
disasters. In the systems, construction of the wireless networks in
the sky can keep line-of-sight (LoS) among wireless nodes, and then
covers the disaster stricken area effectively.
There are some issues for the systems: it may be difficult to prepare UAVs
enough to cover the disaster stricken area, and the flight models
should support autonomous operations that do not need complex
configurations.
I study flight models that achieve small transmission delay while
keeping the smaller number
of UAVs so far. In addition, the performance of the flight models is
evaluated taking account of the
influence of UAVs' stop due to their battery exhaustion and the
inclination of flying UAVs. I present the modeling and evaluation of
the influence of the inclination of flying UAVs. |
