[Invited Lecture] Channel Capacity Analysis of LEO MIMO System Considering the Satellite Attitude

(in English) With the improving sensor capabilities of Earth observation satellites and the introduction of the constellation service in the LEO, the volume of transmission data from a satellite to a ground station is increasing. To increase the channel capacity in limited power and frequency bands, MIMO is efficient. The authors have investigated the use of MIMO channels in LEO satellites, specifically proposing the channel model and assuming LOS environments. In the previous study, the authors analyzed the channel capacity using the channel model simply assumed that all antennas are on the same plane. However, it is necessary to analyze the channel capacity reflecting the parameters of the antenna position due to the attitude of the satellite. The authors report the evaluation of the channel capacity on the LEO-MIMO channel model reflecting the attitude of satellites.
