FDTD method and Ray-tracing method are often used as analysis methods of radio wave propagation in a large area. Analysis with the FDTD method, which is an electromagnetic field numerical analysis method, requires a large computational resource to solve the electromagnetic field in detail. On the other hand, the Ray-tracing method optically approximates the radio wave propagation path and solves reflection, diffraction, and transmission, so it can be used with relatively few computational resources even in a large-scale area. However, it may be difficult to estimate the path where the number of reflections is complicated. In this research, we report the result of evaluating the characteristics of both methods aiming at mutual complementation by FDTD method and Ray-tracing method. |
