Pattern Classification of Causal Attribution in Network Malfunction Situation with Latent Profile Analysis

(in English) When the users of PC and mobile phone (MP) face the network malfunction, they attribute the cause to the problem of device itself, carrier company, server, etc.. Considering the human cognitive process, it is expected that there is a typology of causal attribution in network malfunction situation . In this study, we applied latent profile analysis (LPA) to the web survey data, and clarified the types of cause attribution. In the case of PC, the classes attributing to infrastructures subdivided from the majority class, while in the case of MP, the classes attributing to device itself did. It seems to be difficult for users to imagine the whole network of MP.
