A Study on measurement uncertainty of complex permittivity using a 6 GHz band cavity fabricated by a 3D Printer

(in English) Complex permittivity measurements of PTFE plates with different thickness are performed using two kinds of empty cavity resonators by the TE011 mode cavity resonator method. One is a low-cost and light-weight 6GHz band empty cavity fabricated by FDM type 3D printer and conductive spray. Another is an 6GHz band oxygen free copper cavity for a comparison. Moreover, uncertainty analysis is also performed based on these measured results. As a result, it is verified that complex permittivity can be measured within relative standard uncertainty of 1~6% for relative permittivity and relative standard uncertainty of 50~1800% for loss tangent using the 3D printed cavity resonator.
