Study on K-band Multi-Beam Forming Circuit by Additive Manufacturing Technology

(in English) Recently, satellite manufacturers have been actively trying to apply an antenna and its feeding circuit manufactured using additive manufacturing technology (AMT) to a satellite. In this paper, we propose a new terminator which can be integrally manufactured multiple waveguide components, and it is applied to a beamforming circuit. The proposed terminator consists of a rectangular waveguide, which has a shorted plane provided with a plurality of narrow holes (slits), and some absorbers. The terminator has an advantage that the absorber can be inserted from the slit even after the plurality of components are integrally manufactured. Here, we report the simulation and measurement results for the terminator and the beamforming circuit.
