[Invited Lecture] Propagation Characteristics in a L-shaped Corridor by Antenna Directivity at 28 GHz Band

(in English) For the next generation mobile communication system, it is important to understand propagation characteristics at high frequency bands. In order to investigate the propagation characteristics by using antenna directivity at 28 GHz band, we measured the received power at a L-shaped corridor including LOS (Line Of Sight) and NLOS (Non LOS) regions in indoor environment. As the transmission antennas, we use an omni directional and a waveguide slot array antenna. From the measurement results, the received power fluctuation of the waveguide slot array antenna is smaller than the omni one in LOS region, but in NLOS region, the difference of the received power fluctuation of both antennas tends to be small. Moreover, from comparing the K factor of both antennas, although K factor of the waveguide slot array antenna in the LOS region becomes slightly larger the omni one, K factor of the waveguide slot array antenna in the NLOS region tends to be smaller than the omni one.
