In this paper, we investigate efficient construction schemes of the peak cancellation (PC) signals in the complexity-reduced algorithm for peak-to-average power ration (PAPR) reduction method using null space in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel for MIMO-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. This complexity-reduced algorithm performs vector-level signal processing in PC signal addition to the transmission signal at each transmitter antenna so that the PC signal is transmitted only to the null space in MIMO channel. In this paper, we propose three methods to control the directional vector in PC signal, which is a dominant factor on the achievable performance of the complexity-reduced algorithm using PC signal. Computer simulation result shows that the method which generates the directional vector in PC signal by applying the projection onto the null space in MIMO channel to the ideal peak reduction vector achieves the best PAPR reduction performance with reduced computational complexity. |
