Theoretical Performance Analysis using Orthonormal Laguerre 2D Polynomials for Nonlinear Self-Interference Cancellers

(in English) Self-interference cancellation is necessary to realize in-band full duplex communications, which improve the spectral efficiency compared with half duplex. Nonlinear self-interference cancellers have been developed because self-interference is nonlinearly distorted by amplifiers and mixers of the transmitter and receiver. However, there is not enough research about theoretical analysis of nonlinear cancellers which have been proposed to date.
In this study, we theoretically analyze performance of cancellers using generalized Fourier series expansions of nonlinear characteristics of the transceiver which has I/Q imbalance and nonlinear amplifiers with orthonormal Laguerre 2D polynomials. Comparing the proposed analysis results and equivalent baseband simulation results on the Rapp model, we show that the proposed method is effective for performance analysis of nonlinear cancellers.
